Human Design is a synthesis of of the Kabbalah, Astrology, I Ching and the Chakra system. It incorporates these ancient teachings into a bodygraph that reveals our design, our inner authority, how we are defined, channels of energy that move through our individual life. The information shines a light on our true self including our individual strengths and challenges. It is transformative information to have!

Strategy and authority are the alpha and omega of the Human Design system. It’s where one begins to discovery the way to operate that will align each individual with their individual truth.

Step One – Strategy

There are five strategies in Human Design. Most of us are waiting to either respond or be invited. Waiting brings clarity. Waiting seems hard at first but once you experience how different life is when you do…you start to wait and life unfolds with more ease and grace.

Wait to respond.
Wait to be invited.
Wait 28 days for clarity.
Wait to respond,than inform and then take act.
Inform before you act.

Step Two – Authority

Our inner authority is for decision making. It is the reliable place inside that is consistent and available. This authority is not related to outer authority and social norms, but it our own individual authority inside that is available to direct one to their own truth. The two most common authorities are the solar plexus and the sacral.

The solar plexus authority runs the emotional wave in the body, during this activity there is little clarity. So one waits until the wave is quiet and calm a few times before coming to a decision. It is an authority that needs time to come to clarity. Waiting until clear will have a profound effect on one’s life.

The Sacral authority is heard in the sounds from the gut. The sighs, groans and moans of a person. The ‘uh huh’ kind of sounds. This person is assisted in clarity when asked questions that can be answered with a sound that comes from the gut rather than the story of the mind.

Human Design 101

With a synthesis of so many systems this is just the very beginning.Human Design offers many layers of understanding. Human Design is an experience, once you are informed of the information it’s lived out in life with each decision, each time one waits for the response to come from the gut. Each time one waits for the emotional wave to be quiet before taking any action or making a decision.

The Projector’s Two Breaths

Projector’s are the only type that has two breath patterns in their life, the waiting breath and the breath of recognition.

The Waiting Breath

As a Projector the pattern of the waiting breath, is the backdrop to life. It’s how you breathe, as you move about the world. It’s uniquely tied to whatever is undefined in the bodygraph. In the centers, channels and gates that lie in white, in the bodygraph. Look into the white in your design – look into your undefined world. This is where the waiting breath lies.

Although it is not who you are, this white area in your design is where you reflect the breathing of anyone in your life, all the time. It is here that you measure the people around you. It’s here that the great gift of your design lies, your incredible ability to know who is right for you and who is not. To know who belongs in your aura and who clearly does not.

Feel the quality of this waiting breath…feel its coolness, its patience, its openness. Feel how your waiting breath adapts to all beings, humans, animals, plants and places. This waiting breath is in fact your anchor in the world.

Whenever you are nervous, afraid or feeling out of control, know that your waiting breath is trying to tell you something…about whoever or wherever you are. Spend a few minutes now to feel the quality of your waiting breath. Even though it can be so changeable, feel how reliable it is in telling you about, who you are with and where you are within yourself. Try to find the hidden rhythm within the ever-changing dips and curves of your waiting breath.

The Recognition Breath

This breath is unmistakable for you. It is far more than just a physical breath. It is a frequency that only engages within you at specific times in your life. It can only be activated by specific auras of certain other people.

As a Projector focuses on the definition in their design. This is the code hidden in the chemical circuitry of your body. Your definition is so incredibly specific. Feel the frequency behind the definition. Feel how specific and refined it is, try to understand that only a few people in the world can ever truly resonate with this frequency.

Consider your frequency in the light of all the people you know, it can provide an enormous key for you in your life. See if anyone you know resonates totally to the frequency of your definition. If you cannot find anyone, perhaps you recall someone from your past who did resonate to you totally. Maybe someone you only met even for the briefest of moments, or it could be someone you live with or know extremely well.

As you recall this someone who totally meets you, who sees you utterly for who you truly are, know that you are now experiencing your recognition breath. Notice how different it is from your waiting breath. See how it spreads throughout your body, how it literally fills you from head to toe. Feel it now.

This is the recognition breath. Whenever you feel this you know that something wonderful is about to happen in your life.

Two Breaths Together

The waiting breath and the recognition breath live together in you. One an anchor, the other only to be sparked by the presence of another specific aura.

Projector are helpless in trying to create their own life. A Projector needs to be surrendered in the waiting breath without any hurry to move life along.

Relax into your waiting breath and smile inwardly to yourself knowing that everything comes to you in its own time.

Channel of Recognition~Emotional Energy

The Channel of Recognition 

Allows you to recognize an emotion within yourself, that you can share. This energy is about discerning a potential experience, and feeling within yourself how much you are drawn to each experience. How much attention you are going to commit to it, or not?

Within this channel is a strong pressure, recognized by an intense feeling. Wisdom is gained through exploring all kinds of feelings. Weighing up your feelings to a point of emotional clarity. Once clear, leaping into the experience. Whatever happens within the experience, you come out of it with a sense of completion, that opens you to all forms of new experiences with added confidence.

This is emotional pressure to ‘Experience’ something, often something emotionally. Often felt in the body as a restlessness or nervousness. Sometimes an endless yearning to feel in order to learn.

It takes patience and composure to develop the art of waiting for clarity about which experience to enter into. Time is required to move through the emotional way from hope to pain in order to finally see which desires are correct to experience. The stress of this energy can feel like one is never free from desire.

It can also be experienced as confusion of feelings, as it’s connected to the emotional wave of chemistry. This is the energy of emotional aches and yearnings. Sometimes not knowing what is even being yearned for. There is an underlying yearning to experience all kinds of new things, the results which may or may not be the gaining of wisdom.

As long as you can enter in from a clear emotional space whatever you are learn will be correct for you. Even if it doesn’t meet your expectations.

Spiritually this is the ‘Hand Of God’ in it’s deepest potential. True peace is simply to enjoy the dreams themselves rather than to expect desires to bring any lasting peace. The highest use of this energy is to find the type of prayer that speaks to your heart and enter into the meditation daily. The intensity of the drive requires waiting for clarity and prayer can take you to that clarity.

People with this energy can be powerful dreamers, bringing to the world stories of new experiences and adventures. Or they can be living in constant state of chaos leaping into the wrong adventure and hurting themselves and others. Because this is an emotional channel, time is required before clarity and before taking action.

True creativity is a thoughtful, deliberate process not a wild shot in the dark. 

It’s important that when you have this energy to be sure to communicate clearly. Always make sure the other person really understand what you just said and isn’t spinning fantasies around with they think they heard. It is a projected channel, wait for the invitation rather than initiating this energy. The highest expression of this energy is extremely creative, passionate and innovative.

As a Projector you are waiting for an invitation that includes a recognition of your unique traits.

Your Emotional Chemistry

Lives in the sensing chemistry in your body. Your energy is very focused on the energy of feelings.

To find release in this emotionalism there are two themes to focus on in your life.

1. Don’t try to make your dreams come true.

2. Don’t expect any of your desires to bring you lasting peace.

True peace is simply to enjoy the dreams themselves.

This emotional energy is often experienced as pressure. The yearning here is to feel in order to learn.

When making decisions, wait for the emotional wave to move from hope to pain, a few times in order to feel which of the desires in front of you are correct for you. Always give yourself the time you need to come to clarity. Usually at least twenty-four hours. Sometimes decisions can take much longer.

What Drives Your Emotional Chemistry

In this incessant urge to experience new feelings, you constantly fantasize about having new experiences. This is experienced within you as an impulse to do something new. It’s the pressure to seek experience through a feeling of restlessness, as though something new is beginning.

Desire is the source of all our emotional aches and yearnings. You may not know what you are longing for, but you are driven to want to try all kinds of new things. With this focus the emotional field focuses on a single fantasy or desire at a time. It can feel very fixed.

When you can enter into new situations from a clear emotional space, whatever you learn will be correct for you, even if it doesn’t meet your expectations. When you enter into new situations without emotional clarity, lessons can be harsh.

You can recognize a feeling, you can notice nervousness which usually indicates confusion rather than clarity. As this energy can focus on sexual feelings, in a design of yearning, it would be best to find productive ways to fill this need for feelings and fill the yearning with something that nurtures your soul.

What You Want Recognized

You are here to be creatively different from everyone else. Your life is about having the courage to stand out from the crowd. Simply by being yourself, you will always get the recognition you deserve. Attention will come. You draw people’s attention to a truth.

Your creativity to express yourself in your uniqueness inspires others. In your uniqueness you will inspire others in their uniqueness. You are here to be unique. Anyone that recognizes your uniqueness is part of your tribe. You need to be recognised and invited to express your uniqueness in order to earn the respect that you deserve.

Focus on your immense capacity for creativity. You are the creative artist. You have to do it your way. Creativity waxes and wanes, creative outlets don’t. Create for the sake of creativity. Become immersed in your creativity without a goal.

Follow your creative self-expression. You are the Artist/Creator. This is your deepest need, to express your own individual contribution. Stand up and get everyone’s attention. You are the promoter of something new. You know you can make a contribution! Your creative expression of feelings.

Through your own inspiration you will gain recognition and inspire others to do the same.

Waiting for the recognition fuels your destiny.

Unless You’re Asked, There Is Nothing To Do

The ‘Projector’ type of the Human Design system is waiting to be invited from a position of appreciation. Projectors are assured performers, contributors, directors, organizers, managers, guides, visionaries and conductors of affairs. Projectors are estimated to be 20 per cent of the world’s population.

Waiting For The Invitation Vs Initiating 

As a Projector, your true nature requires you to be recognized first if you want to experience personal fulfillment. Without it resentment and bitterness raise to the surface and create roadblocks to your success. It’s a natural law that people will find themselves drawn to you. Being noticed is intrinsic to who you are.

If as a Projectors you feel you are often observing and waiting to be asked for your involvement and contribution, you may want to learn to wait for the invitation rather than initiate involvement. This way you feel ‘seen’, understood and valued for all you offer and contribute.

Initiating distracts you from noticing things like an invitation. Initiating distorts the frequencies of your beauty and radiance and gifts. What is initiating? “Doing” anything to get noticed. Notice when you are making up justifications, reasons, excuses, validation or rationalization to initiate things. Watch out for when you are defining ‘invitations’ to suit yourself.

When someone is naturally drawn to the qualities within you, it is important that you first receive recognition if you are to be effective. Recognition and invitation light up your being.

What Is The Invitation You Are Waiting For?

An invitation that includes a recognition of your unique qualities would receive your full attention. An invitation can of course be gold-embossed when it includes a recognition. Cloaked invitations can sometimes appear as a question, a glance, a smile, something can feel inviting by your own interest. Like an inner sense that you are being drawn towards something, like a calling.

An invitation is anything or anyone seeking your involvement while genuinely recognizing your qualities. The recognition needs to be authentic and respect your worth. Your true nature requires appreciation.

While Projectors are often collaborating with other types it is important in high-pressured, high-energy environments that you don’t adopt the ‘go, go, go’ of everyone else. This will blow your internal fuse. Your energy works better in short bursts. Fatigue and exhaustion are your Achilles’ heel. Be wary of trying to keep up with other types, you will only exhaust yourself to the point of near collapse.

You are here to direct the energy not to be the doer. Take breaks often, a siestas or catnap or just quiet time to yourself. Your energetic body requires your attention. Don’t override your inner resistance and convince yourself to go beyond your own energy.

Avoid Initiating Attention

The quickest way to feel unseen is to try to be seen. It’s your frequency that pulls the correct things to you. When you take the lead by initiating action before you have been asked or invited you will find yourself alone. If you are tempted to rush ahead of the recognition-invitation process you will feel resistance and bitterness in your own body. This is not what leads you to what you desire.

Wait for the recognition-invitation process. It makes the world of difference to your comfort level. Each projector is waiting for an invitation that recognizes their unique traits. In an individual session this can be defined for clarity.

Learn to enjoy the lulls in life, have a great comfy place you retreat to – to recharge and relax. You need rest to replenish to bring your best self forward. This doesn’t make you ‘lazy’ but a wise steward of your own resources.

As A Projector

You’re able to identify with an inner pressure to be recognized for your gifts and abilities. If you often feel overlooked, learning patience with the invitation can ease bitterness and resentment in your life. In all your relationships recognition and invitation are vital. You like to be recognized for your worth and invited to do things.

Projectors are experts at guiding a relationship and suggesting ways to improve or enhance relations, when asked; you provide a balanced perspective.

As a Projector, what you achieve in life tends to depend on allowing yourself to be drawn into the right company and the right environment. With the right people in the right environment your gifts and abilities are truly recognized, you’ll feel empowered. The difference between being recognized and not recognized is day and night to you. It’s essential to your sense of well-being and satisfaction. Once you understand working with an invitation you can begin to sort through the correct invitations for you.
